Laura & Chris – Mansion House Wedding, Leeds

When Laura was planning her December wedding she fancied the idea of a ‘sprinkling’ of snow on the day. Laura got her wish and then some, with about a foot of snow lying in Leeds overnight! The weather conditions didn’t phase Laura & Chris or their guests and it was truly memorable wedding day! Laura & Chris were fantastic and were happy to brave the snow for their short portrait session looking down on Roundhay Park before heading inside to the warm for some bubbly and their wedding breakfast! Caroline & Dan – Langar Hall Wedding, Nottinghamshire

Caroline & Dan enjoyed a splendid wedding day at Lambley Parish Church (with the coolest, most chilled Vicar!) and the beautiful country house, Langar Hall. Caroline & Dan were incredibly relaxed on the day and took the excitement and anticipation in their stride. The weather was kind, despite a deluge of rain during the drive between the service and Langar and the sun that emerged during the later afternoon was absolutely stunning for the bride and groom portraits. The team at Langar, led by Pascal, were fantastic as usual, the guests were well looked after and remarked on the quality of the food and service. The evening reception was especially memorable with Dan’s father performing the opening music set with his band and later Dan’s brother played an acoustic session. What a talented family! Later in the evening, I was reminded how hard it is to take pictures whilst you are laughing uncontrollably, when the dance-off commenced! I was convinced a couple of them were ‘ringers’ but nonetheless it was highly entertaining! Congratulations Caroline & Dan!

Caroline & Simon’s Wedding – January 2009

A trip to the North West (my homeland!) on this particular crisp and sunny Saturday for Caroline & Simon’s wedding. The day was fantastic, lots of laughter and tears, a very emotional day! Caroline & Simon are a lovely, fun, down to earth couple and there were some lovely personal things from the day.

The rings – Simon hadn’t planned to have a ring but Caroline surprised him and had four Grandparents wedding rings melted and formed into one………

Simon’s cufflinks – although being a Northwest lad, Simon has been a lifelong West Ham fan, hence the claret & blue. All the guys wore either a claret or blue pair of cufflinks. There is an incredibly moving background story as to why Simon wore a mis-matched pair but I won’t share it here……

Caroline and Ian’s Wedding – December 2008

Okay so my blog needs a bit of TLC after being ignored for a few weeks, so I thought I’d add some updates of recent weddings.
Here are a few of my favourite images from Caroline and Ian’s wedding at Hemswell Court in Lincolnshire a few days before Christmas. It was a fantastic day, the ceremony was candle-lit and very atmospheric, Caroline had done a great job with the details on the tables for the meal and they braved the chilly weather for some dusk video-light shots!
